When Satoshi invented bitcoin, he never referred to it as an investable asset but rather an entity that can serve as an alternative to the fiat/traditional currency. It came to be as an asset to invest in was just one of the benefits of having a Bitcoin as another currency, this was the secondary case of venturing into Bitcoin and not the primary purpose of which it was invented. It is undeniable that bitcoin as an asset for investment is what has made a lot of people to embrace bitcoin, but as long as the adoption still continues, the main objective of bitcoin will still be said to be an achievable goal and Satoshi will be happy with the technology today.
