I’m impressed with Xabi Alonso,s input so far. I can see a better playing style and a gradual build of good team work within the players, I also noticed he is getting a better understanding of how best to utilize his star studded team to the best of their ability. If they fully get an understanding of Xabi’s philosophy and team work they will be an excellent team to watch.
And I don't think I am impressed with Xabi Alonso yet because, from the look of it, I will only be impressed if he wins a trophy, because the teamwork you claim he has worked upon has not seen its effect yet. Because Real Madrid is supposed to be doing better than what they are doing now, it's now as if they are not even getting better, but I expected them to do better at this point, so there is a need to do better, not just acknowledging him for doing nothing.
We know all that the former coaches have done just to make the club better, and now that he has a better squad, I don't know why things are not getting better, because now Xabi Alonso can not even make proper use of the squad.
I know Real Madrid aren't yet performing the way we expect them to perform under Xabi Alonso guidance, but since Real Madrid have won their first two La Liga matches this season, I believe there's a positive progress in Real Madrid's performance, and when Real Madrid players fully understand Xabi Alonso's football, they will play with their strength and dominate La Liga and the champions league the way they used to.
