That is what i meant that such negative situations, like losing a job, can actually have a positive impact on a person who is addicted to gambling. Simply because they no longer have an income, they will gamble less, meaning they will have to work hard to earn money and won’t think about gambling as much as before. In everything, there needs to be balance it is difficult when it comes to gambling, but in order to profit sometimes, one must be patient and have moderation.
I hate to be the one to break it to you guys but, don’t we think that this style of quoting doesn’t bring out the best in a discussion? Like do I have to read from the middle of it all and gradually extend for follow ups on the point being discussed… I think trimming would have a better effect and one could always refer to previous comments from the last quote for follow ups than having the quote this way
Loosing a job doesn’t really mean you get to slow down on gambling. Yes, the funds to gamble with at the level you were might not be there but, you definitely could still keep up with gambling because, you don’t have any other means of income and you see it for a means to substitute for your lost job.
But how can you continue with gambling if you don't have the means because you have lost your job? And that is the worst advise though, as you have to look at gambling as a substitute for a lost job? It doesn't work that way, we all know that that odds against us when we gamble are very much high, and we all know that there will always be the house edge that are going to kill us in the long run. If that happens to me and losing my only means to make money, I will also have to rethink and reset everything specially there are people around that rely on you.
