I do agree that he has a puncher's chance to beat Fundora, every one and maybe the scenario that you are saying might happen as it will be a big challenge for Thurman to beat that tall of a boxer. But he should still have the mental hunger just like before as he was a unified champion at 147 lbs but then moving up another weight class.
If Thurman wins this fight, his name will be back in the spotlight for sure, and the Pacquiao rematch talks will explode again. I know a lot of fans still want that, especially since the first fight left plenty of controversy.
Personally, I really want to see Thurman pull it off. Fundora is at the peak of his career right now, he’s the champ and already beat Tszyu twice, but that’s exactly why this win would mean so much more for Thurman. Imagine the storyline, beating the young champ and setting up one last big-money fight with Pacman.
I’m rooting hard for Thurman here. He’s been counted out before, but if there’s one fight to bring him back, this is it.
