Yes, Manchester United won, but I can't say they played well, but they did try hard to win. And the reason is because Manchester United's three-goal victory wasn't solely due to the players' efforts. The goals were scored by Burnley's Josh Cullen, an own goal in the 27th minute, and also a Bruno Fernandes penalty in the 90+7th minute, which sealed the win for Manchester United in crucial minutes and gave them three points.
And this win was the first in three Premier League matches, and I don't think it will be a consistent win, but I hope Manchester United will show significant and consistent changes.
Sincerely speaking Manchester United performance against Burnley was really disappointing, funny enough it was the last game holding my bet, at a point in the game I lost hope that Manchester United where going to win. Comparing with the last game they played against Grimsby, I would say they did better, the combination of Mbeumo and Amad on the front  poses more threat for an opponent, and if they could improve on what they have, I believe they will do better. I understand that the Manchester United team is still trying to understand themselves, with time they Will do better i believe.
