Would Bitcoin survive through offline solutions like mesh networks and satellites, or would it completely halt?

If such a scenario occurs, the bitcoin network may well split into separate segments operating on a regional scale. This scenario depends on the capacity of the miners and their location. Let's say all the transcontinental cables in the world have been damaged, then will satellite Internet be able to provide stable and fast connectivity for all miners? Whether forks will occur depends on the answer to this question.

If this happens, then, depending on various reasons, there may subsequently be a conflict of interest about which fork to consider as the real one. This could cause a drop in the price of any of these newly formed bitcoin forks. So a stable and fast and, most importantly, a single Internet is very important for the functioning of bitcoin.
