From the Real Madrid matches I've watched, they've struggled with scoring. Given the little time Xabi Alonso has been with this team, I expected him to have developed a better pattern by now. I feel it's getting too late. Because if they play a strong team, the excuse that Xabi Alonso is still trying to fix the team won't be accepted by the management and fans. Especially now that the Champions League is about to start, and the challenges there are different from those in La Liga. Mallorca's defense was too solid for Real Madrid to penetrate, which I didn't expect to be such a challenge. The main problem for Real Madrid is midfield coordination.
After having good win in last game against newly promoted side R. Oviedo I was also expecting good number of goals which is much needed at this time, but sadly they were not playing as they needed and have the good number of goals.
Early goal from Mallorca bring some pressure and excitement in this game, but good comeback from Real Madrid make things balanced in second half Mallorca done good work but sadly fail to break deadlock. Confidence increasing which is always good Xabi Alonso working good on youngsters which are bringing good depth in team hopefully they will be much better and stronger in coming days with few weeks left in UEFA Champions League.
