El Salvador moved their 6.274 bitcoins into 14 different wallets in order to prepare for a possible quantum threat in the future.

They believe that through this, they are reducing the risks of losing all their bitcoin should quantum threats be real in the future and their holdings get attacked. That is the only reason why El Salvador is moving their bitcoins and I believe this should be something we can all learn from El Salvador. Distributing your bitcoins in more than one wallets will save you in the future and El Salvador knows this.
Well, these guys finally learned about diversification (risks). Smiley The risk price for storing 6.274BTC in one wallet is too high.

It seems to me that they could have distributed these 6.274 not only among 14 wallets, but among more. Not only for protection against a quantum computer, but also against theft\hacking, for example. Although there are some difficulties with storing such a large number of seed-phrases (I hope they don't do this on a piece of paper? Smiley).

Considering the future (and current) growth of the value of bitcoin, too much will be accumulated in each individual wallet (6.274/14=448BTC).
