Kobe accepted and helped him make a screen to open up for Lin. Truly, Kobe respected him as an NBA player and let him be the star of that night.
But Lin is mostly known for his insane shooting skills during his New York Knicks stint. That is where he shone most, and they even made a documentary of him for that.
