With current roster they have I don't think they need Giannis on their team.

I guess what they need is good rotation since they already have good shot to win a championship this season. If it happen that they trade their young valuable piece its like they are risking their future. Knowing KD he usually leave especially if he think that he's on losing team. So best to retain everyone and focus on their development. Let KD lead them and they might get good experience from a veteran star like him.

Agree to that, knowing KD better not to take that risk as he can easily decide to leave if he thinks that there's no chance of winning, just look on how he abanoned both Nets and Suns, after these two squads brings him to have that chance but did not materialize, now, we again see another transfer and this time to a much younger team who shows decent performance last season, a matter on how the management especially the mentor who will guide them together.

Both Nets and Suns sacrificed their bench and core players just acquired KD. This is the downside of including KD on your roster because he will cover most of the team salary cap while his playing is typically just focus on offense.

Once he is exhausted his contribution is less impactful especially if he has few rest on the game since the 2nd unit can’t cover much during his rest.

Rockets is a different story because they retain most of their core players including bench and toss player that is inconsistent on contribution. This is a good trade for KD.
Yea rockets is in a great position they only need to make kd healthy in the playoffs young team with talent plus kd is a dangerous team, hoping they will be able to get healthy come playoffs, i hope that they make it to the finals, they have a chance, kd seems to blossom when team also perform better, i just hope for him no injury and no issues with any team manager or management and coaches because its them that started kd leaving a team.
