The problem is only one, or is better to say, the main question is always the same, and taht question is.
Is Cristaino Ronaldo goals compensating his not so much contribution on team work? Or better to say, if any other younger star play in the Cristiano Ronaldo spot, can the Al Nasrr have better results?
For me this is not an easy question, but Al Nasrr needs to think about it aside of his renewal contract.
Why the constant disrespect channelled towards the greatest player of all time?! They've just won the opening game of the season. Too many talks of Cristiano Ronaldo but I'm here to give Joao Felix his props. That was just the first game of the season and he scored his first hat trick. I want to see the Portuguese players in a fine form ahead of the FIFA World Cup Competition. Ronaldo constantly setting the bar high.
Indeed, Al-Nassr will have to prepare a talented young player for Cristiano Ronaldo's position someday. Cristiano Ronaldo is already over 40 years old, and he'll probably only play for another season or two. He dreams of playing on the pitch alongside his son. Or maybe even until then. And Al-Nassr must also think about and prepare for that. But focus on the present.
I'm sure most Al-Nassr fans were overjoyed to learn that Cristiano Ronaldo had decided to renew his contract with Al-Nassr at the end of last season. His contributions are extraordinary. He's not just an ordinary player. He also plays an active role in coaching the players in the Al-Nassr squad. Just look at some of the training session footage. Even Joao Felix gained confidence when he was given an easy assist by Cristiano Ronaldo, which led to his first goal for Al-Nassr.
Cristiano Ronaldo is clearly still needed by Al-Nassr. Not just as a player, but he has also become a major icon for this team and the league. We know the Saudi Pro League's audience might even decrease again if Cristiano Ronaldo leaves. I'm sure of that. And we know Al-Nassr has no problems in attack. This team also only had problems in defense last season. This proves there's nothing to talk about their fine attack. But the only problem this team has had since last season is the defense. But it seems that Jorge Jesus has started to improve it.
I personally rarely miss Al Nassr matches in any league, even preseason. So I know how this team performs both without Cristiano Ronaldo and with him. And the results are quite surprising: without Cristiano Ronaldo, this team sometimes seems to lack motivation and drive on the pitch. I'm sure we've noticed this if we regularly follow Al Nassr's matches.
