From my experience in Bitcoin investment I have come to realize that it is an asset that is best to hold on the long term. So far you understand that Bitcoin has the potentials to always increase and reach ATH after dip you should focus on the long term for guaranteed profits.

If you are not a trader that understands the risk of buying and selling on the short term it is better to invest for the long term. If you invest with the intention of making profit on a specific short term and when that time reaches then Bitcoin happen to dip bellow the price that you bought, it will be an unprofitable venture. Example is what we are experiencing now, some short term investors that perhaps bought at $120k and planing to take profit on 27th august, will be disappointed. Another disadvantage is that you can panic and sell at a loss believing that it will dump again instead of leaving it for the long term to appreciate again.

For peace of mind buy and hodl for a long term atleast for two bull circles you will be sure that whatever price will be then you will be in profit. DCA method is recommendable for income earners, buy with a percentage of your income and hold for the long term.

Making short term trades on bitcoin is very risky from the point to buying and holding for few weeks or even using a leveraged account which is more riskier due to it short term volatility. I wouldn't  advise any to invest in bitcoin  for short term either, the side effects are obvious already. Since the origin of bitcoin how many bitcoin short term traders have surface up with claims and are happy for taking short term trades? We'll i doubt if there is any proud enough, even if there is they won't be much because loses are a big fan of short term trader especially on volatile currencies like bitcoin.
