Although Pathum Nishanka is the only reliable batsman for Sri Lanka in this match and has scored the most runs. However, I have noticed in the two matches that Zimbabwe's bowling performance needs to be improved further, both spinners and fast bowlers need to be aggressive.
Zimbabwe had great chance to win because they made good total of 277 runs but their bowlers did not play well. They failed to put enough pressure on Sri Lankan batsmen especially Pathum Nissanka who was top scorer who made 122 runs and key reason for Sri Lanka win. This game and one before it shows that Zimbabwe bowlers need to improve and be more aggressive if team wants to win in future.
I have done a lot of research on this match but in the end it turned out that Sri Lanka is the stronger team. Because in the first match Sri Lanka also showed surprise and in the second match Sri Lanka surprised the audience even more. The victory of this second match made Sri Lanka more confident, and those who had bet on Sri Lanka won this match with enough courage.
However, later in the T20 series Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka will play a T20 series. If Zimbabwe can correct their mistakes and perform in the T20 series, then they will definitely be able to play a role in winning.
