It seems Crystal Palace have truly transformed into a formidable team. Their victory in the Community Shield final against Liverpool wasn't just a stroke of luck. They've continued to show impressive results in the Premier League and Europa Conference League. In the Premier League, they held Chelsea and Nottingham Forest to draws. And now, Crystal Palace are playing against Aston Villa, with a one-goal lead. In the Europa Conference League, Crystal Palace also just qualified for the play-offs. So, I think this season will be a good one for this team.
Crystal Palace have always been like this in the Premier League just that they had difficulty in the past seasons and were languishing in the bottom half but it seems that they back to been the Crystal palace we used to know which is actually going against any other team and defeating them. This FA cup win had actually lifted up the clubs morale and confidence and then doing it yet again in the community shield was extra booster. Ideally they shouldn’t even be in the Conference League but rather should be in Europe league but they got there spot giving to Nottingham Forest after it was confirmed that they have same owner as Lyon who are also participating in the competition.
This season will be a huge for them but the way it is going with their player sales I think it will be interesting to see how far they go but with the way they have started to play without their star player Eze and with Guehi looking to leave, I will love to see how they fare
Last season, Nottingham Forest showed what Crystal Palace had shown at the start of the season. And perhaps now it's Crystal Palace's turn to show how they can become a strong team, rather than just being considered a middling team every season.
Last night, Crystal Palace also won with a perfect score of 0-3. Beating a home team like Aston Villa is no easy feat, especially considering Aston Villa's squad depth is quite good, and they were playing at home. But Crystal Palace completely destroyed them. Crystal Palace's advantage lies in their effective attack. Crystal Palace doesn't attack much, but when they do, their opponents struggle.
