Not the slots alone but the whole casino is designed to for people to lose but for the owners to earn money, we all know that not all the time people are losing, there's still some people who wins jackpot and big prizes but only small number of people who can get that and even if you think that the casino will lose from that, they still on profit.

Casinos are designed to entertain people and leveraging money to attract players giving them chance in to multiplying it but in reality, the more you play the more losses you'll have.

Casino industry wouldn't thrive after all if it was designed in favor to gamblers. Casinos are designed to always win whatever strategy a gambler does or how much he spend.

As a gambler, you should realize you can never beat the house. Only gamble with your spare money and for the sake of entertainment only not to earn profit.
Since casinos are businesses, they naturally plan to generate more profits than players. No matter how good a player's strategy, it doesn't guarantee they'll win more often than the casino. The casino, as the host, has a greater advantage over the player, and this advantage can't be changed by the player. Even if a player consistently wins, the casino will likely take action.
