When Erik Ten Hag was agreeing to become Bayer Leverkusen head coach, he knew Bayer Leverkusen had sold most of their best players to other clubs, and after he  signed his contract, he didn't request funds from Bayer Leverkusen board so that he could strengthen his team and compete in the German Bundesliga, so I wouldn't pity him because whatever happens to him at Bayer Leverkusen, he is responsible for it.
What was Erik Ten Hag thinking when he decided to accept the formal bid to become Bayer Leverkusen headcoach? The club's crumbled to their knees the moment they trigger the sellclause of their most important players and watching them bounce back this season is definitely not happening. Leverkusen used to be in their prime during the managing system of Xabi Alonso who exited the club because he saw no vision when the players started leaving for good offers. Florian Wirtz and Jereme Frimpong was important for the club and they left, what's the piece remaining? Erik Ten Hag should belt on making signings because it's the only way to stay ontop and winning games.
Maybe Erik Ten Hag accepted to become Bayer Leverkusen head coach so that he could prove to people that Manchester United is responsible for his bad performance, but he didn't know that it was his attitude and bad tactics that made him to perform poorly at Manchester United. Before the German Bundesliga season started, we already said it that Erik Ten Hag wouldn't do well at Bayer Leverkusen this season, so I wasn't surprised that Erik Ten Hag couldn't collect a point in the two matches Bayer Leverkusen played so far this season.
