In as much as the sack did come to me as a surprise, I still see another side of it in that they are now beginning to see and understand that mourinho was actually a good coach but has gradually gotten past his prime and there is a limit to how much he can be able to activate as a coach that he is at this point and probably they are not willing to risk it with him based on what they are hoping to achieve this season which I consider pretty fine as at this time they may not have quality players but even their performance did not show they have a good chance even in their domestic league so to a far good extent their actions can be understood from my point of view.
The inside story to his sack consists of multiple attributes which the loss against benfisca wasn't left unnamed. That was indeed his final straw in the club, but the board also mentioned that Morinho became biased on local players, for benching Ismail Yuksek and Irfan Can Kahveci in most matches played in the season. In addition, he failed at besting out on any of the five top teams in the league including Galatasaray which he lost to both in the league and the cup.
Finally, the club added that in Morinho's regime as the coach no player attracted a notable interest during the transfer window. Mourinho is aged, yeah, but failing to build up a success in Turkey may have been as a result of not knowing how to succeed in such leagues. Between he also has an outstanding with the Galatasaray champions who accused him of racist statement after a 0-0 draw in February.
