That’s the wrong perception. Gambling is designed to deliver fun, but the reality is we all lose in the long run. If we say it’s “designed to make you lose,” then people wouldn’t gamble at all since they wouldn’t see any value for their money.

What we should focus on is the fun part., because when we gamble, we also experience winning moments, not just losses. In the long run we lose, yes, but that’s already acceptable as long as we get those wins here and there instead of just losing every single time.

The misconception here is that players assume winning is all about money. Relaxation, and fun is paid for in hotels, stadiums, and fighting rings, and whenever the duration is over, nobody gets to complain about the money they spent earning the moment of happiness and thrills. In gambling it's switched to the wrong side, because the casino says, I'd give you more money if you pay to get some fun. That's true, since it's for advertising purposes, players shouldn't have placed money as the main priority to gambling.

Casinos offer similar fun, and relaxation like any other events, but it's left for the player to limit it, and as a result of the monetary aspect, gamers forget so easily their own side of the bargain.
