Getting excited or admiring the technology is a good thing, but as a newbie or a beginner, it's important for people to equip themselves with the necessary knowledge before they get involved financially and decide to buy and store Bitcoin because so many people get too excited and out of that excitement, they don't read or understand properly how things work, and they start buying and storing Bitcoin, using the wrong platforms for both, and then when they lose their money, they start blaming Bitcoin for it instead of thinking and acknowledging that it was their own fault.
Scammers in this space are always looking for easy targets, and people like OP are the ones that they look for, and if people want to stay safe from them, it's necessary for them to understand everything, and they should start investing in Bitcoin or using it once they realize that now they totally understand, they know which platforms are trusted, which wallets they should use, what are the differences between custodial and non-custodial wallets, etc.
