Im not excited at all. Looking at description on news link you shared, it's clear this film is fiction works. Hollywood film usually don't really care about history accuracy or factual information either, so i doubt this film make people interested with cryptocurrency either.
Although another mentioned film about FTX may be interesting if they actually pay attention to factual information.
Personally the only sense I see in bitcoin movies is that it would be interesting if you have them as entertainment for visitors or friends who are bitcoin inclined or maybe someone you know is in the forum visits and such movie could keep you guys in the course.
I also agree with you that facts could even be eliminated in the process of producing the films since Hollywood is only interested in how much sales the movie could make them, hence if it requires erasing some fact they would and add some funny or entertaining scripts to it.
