Three games, three wins for Liverpool and they are currently at the summit of the league. That said, things have just got worse for the rest of the league as Liverpool have just completed the signing of Alexander Isak from Newcastle, thus i cannot see anyone stopping them this season.
City have obviously not recovered from last season's disappointment and there is no sign of a recovery in sight. I am surprised they didn't sign a right back this summer, and seem happy to play Nunez or Lewis at right back, and both of them are far from being solid in that position, making it a weak link in the team.
You're right, with Liverpool's impressive form right now, I think any team in the Premier League would find it extremely difficult to beat them. So, with that in mind, I believe Liverpool has the potential to become Premier League champions again. As we know, even their rivals like Arsenal have been defeated by Liverpool. So, with that in mind, I think Liverpool is truly in their prime right now. Moreover, Liverpool has now signed Alexander Isak, which will undoubtedly boost their performance even further. With that in mind, I think Liverpool has a chance to win more than one trophy this season.
Speaking of Manchester City, I think they're in real trouble right now. The Premier League has only been underway for three weeks and they've already suffered two defeats. I think that will put immense pressure on Pep. If Manchester City's performance doesn't improve this season, I think Pep will likely be sacked. I also don't understand why a coach of Pep's caliber hasn't been able to get Manchester City back on its feet. Manchester City brought in quite a few new players in this season's transfer window. However, the results haven't been great, and in fact, they appear to be deteriorating. However, Bruyne's departure may have had a significant impact on Manchester City's performance. So, given that, I think Pep needs to give his all this time.
