The way it is structured is second to none. The technology and the technical know how is another thing that baffles me. Selling the coin to someone you have not met and the person paying money to someone he too has not met in trust is another dimension of trust. In all Bitcoin is built on trust though ,there are those that will want to cheat.
I agree with you, I believe Bitcoin's strength lies in its technological design. Starting with blockchain and distributed consensus, we can all transact without having to know or trust the other party, because the system itself guarantees honesty. That's why many people, including me personally, were initially skeptical, but eventually became convinced.
