Liverpool started to create a small gap especially against Manchester City which seems to have another bad season start at least. Things aren't working at all on Pep Guardiola side!
Three games, three wins for Liverpool and they are currently at the summit of the league. That said, things have just got worse for the rest of the league as Liverpool have just completed the signing of Alexander Isak from Newcastle, thus i cannot see anyone stopping them this season.

City have obviously not recovered from last season's disappointment and there is no sign of a recovery in sight. I am surprised they didn't sign a right back this summer, and seem happy to play Nunez or Lewis at right back, and both of them are far from being solid in that position, making it a weak link in the team.

Liverpool is truly extraordinary, having won all three matches from the start of the season until now. They've played well in the three matches they've played. Of course, Liverpool is currently at the top of the table, and if they can maintain this position, they have the potential to win a trophy this season. Liverpool, having spent heavily in the transfer market, will undoubtedly improve their performance, and it will certainly be difficult for any team to beat them. But of course, we'll just have to see what happens.

At the start of the season, I was optimistic about Manchester City because they played well, like against Wolves. However, looking at the current situation, Manchester City's performance has been less than satisfactory, losing two of their three matches. You're absolutely right: Manchester City still hasn't recovered from last season, and their defense is indeed weak, but unfortunately, they haven't improved their defense properly. It seems Pep needs to really improve Manchester City, because if he doesn't, it could potentially cause Manchester City's ranking to drop even further and possibly prevent them from qualifying for the Champions League at the end of the season. Now, we'll just have to see what happens.
