The Bucks have resigned Thanasis Antetokounmpo to a 1-year, $2.9 million deal!
It’s clear the Bucks want to keep Giannis. They probably signed his brother because they knew Giannis wasn’t pleased when they waived Lillard. So, to keep him happy, they brought Thanasis back, at least as a way to maintain their relationship. The Bucks’ management knows how to keep Giannis satisfied. They also know that if Giannis leaves, it’s over for them, the Bucks won’t be a title contender anymore.

Maybe, or maybe they’re going to package Giannis and Thanasis as a package to get even more assets in return. Not that the couple million will make a big difference, but when you’re scrounging for every asset you can, you gotta take advantage of what you’ve got. That may be what we’re seeing here.

That is a package since the beginning, If you want Giannis you need to sign the brother. Well it will not affect the team much because you can  give the lowest or min he can get while enjoying the skill of Giannis.
Its just like you signed a player just to complete your roster at first. With the feeling with Giannis now, I hope the Bucks can keep him longer.
Just like Lebron and his son with the Lakers, it's no secret that they got Bronny because they want to keep Lebron with them. And this is the case for the Bucks, it's a package and assurance for them that Giannis will remain a Buck because they've re-sign his brother again. Just image if Giannis is traded and Thanasis remains with the Bucks, that will be awkward. So good move by the Bucks, just a couple of millions for them to risk but they will have to keep Giannis happy as he had his brother with him in the team. But I'm not sure though if Bucks line up is at par with the East teams.
