I'm surprised that this thread hasn't attracted any comments. Just in case you haven't heard about the African continent Internet exchange, here is a YouTube video about it.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOy7jwi0At8I was trying to get more details about this great but couldn't find much. I was not surprised that I couldn't get much because digital colonialists will not want this information to spread. But it's great to know that this new technology will help the continent retain about $50 billion and more jobs will be created. Africa will now be free from sanction threats and political pressure because of its dependence on Western internet connections. Having access to a fast, cheaper, and sensor-free internet connection is mind-blowing. Great news.
Gradually the African continent is waking up to a world of it's own. Interestingly how this innovative internet infrastructure could save Africa billions of dollars and as well save her upcoming generations from the censored informations for the Western wing about African stories as much of what informations search that would be gotten through this Africa internet would be undiluted and not in the westerns thought.
It's indeed a great news. Next on could be Africa currency.
