No you didn’t, you only received a merit at that time but the count got spiked up with additional 612 merit..
It happens but only the owner can tell you what’s going on, he mentioned a way to reset it though

To your last question:Yes, infact I just reset mine just now to test the command.. I didn’t worry that much for mine because it’s just +1
