I've not paid for food using Bitcoin but I've used it to pay for my antivirus and VPN subscriptions and it didn't just feel good but it was a lifesaver. At that time, there was a ban on the use of debit card for international transactions in my country and the other alternatives were not favorable because of the high fees. So I resorted to Bitcoin and since then I've been using it. Although, the ban has been lifted but I don't think I would like to use fiat again for these purpose.
If your bitcoin is a long-term investment, it's not a good idea to spend some of it on food or anything else. Like you, I don't spend bitcoin for food or anything else, but that's also because my country's regulations prohibit it. Real-world use cases for bitcoin as a currency are prohibited in my country, but I personally prefer to spend stablecoins or altcoin on things when necessary.

I don't know what it would be like to spend a few sat for food, cigarettes or anything else, so far I don't plan to do that right now. Bitcoin is an investment asset for me and I tend to accumulate it rather than spend it on consumptive goods or anything else. But if I want, then I can also spend it anytime.
