Q: What is Nythyria?
A: Nythyria is the first massive multiplayer online grid based dungeon crawler fully backed by a POW cryptocurrency. It is based upon a popular series of games that started with the Atari ST and were later ported over the IBM PC. On the Atari ST it was known as the Mystic Well with around an estimated million players. Later, it was ported to the IBM PC, where it was known as Daymare 1 and Daymare 2.

Q: What is special about Nythyria?
A: Nythyria uses Glitter as an unit of barter within the game. Every Glitter is fully backed (and redeemable) by one Bitcoin Cash (BCH) bit (100 Satoshis).

Q: Why use a proof of work crypto coin as the backbone for an in game economy?
A: We wanted a direct economic link with real value. Not a token with artificial values set by the founder. We believe this was the original intention of cryptocurrency. Glitter is fully backed by Bitcoin Cash.

Q: Why use Bitcoin Cash and not some other proof of work coin?
A: Bitcoin Cash is a continuation of the original idea behind Bitcoin. It is fast, secure, with low transaction fees. It also implements DSP (double spend proofs), which makes most transactions super fast. DSP can verify that there are no conflicting transactions in the mempool. No more waiting for a block confirmation, so you will receive your Glitter within seconds of a purchase when using Bitcoin Cash.

Q: What is the difference between Bitcoin Cash and Glitter?
A: While every Glitter is fully back by one Bitcoin Cash bit, making them equal in value, there is one major difference. Glitter is primarily a game cosmetic that can be used to buy cosmetic enhancements for your avatar or bartered with other players. This makes Glitter technically a commodity, while Bitcoin Cash is a cryptocurrency.

Q: Can I use other cryptocurrencies when buying Glitter?
A: Yes. We currently accept Dogecoin, Litecoin, and Ravencoin for buying Glitter. The rates are less favorable though to prevent arbitrage.

Q: Is Nythyria a Play-to-Earn game?
A: Nythyria is primarily meant to be played for fun and challenge. I believe this should always be the first goal of any game designer. However, we also believe that integrating real economic value can greatly enhance play. There needs to be synergism between people playing for just fun, people trying to earn money, and people that just like the thrill of trading or flipping valuable items.

Q: How do I convert Glitter to Bitcoin Cash?
A: There is an in game system that allows you to directly sell Glitter for Bitcoin Cash. Simply paste your Bitcoin Cash address, enter the amount of Glitter you wish to sell. Confirm and you will receive an equivalent amount of Bitcoin Cash bits (100 Satoshis). For small values, this will be instant, and you should see the pending transaction in your wallet. Very large withdrawals may require manual confirmation though.
