You are right about Roma usual pattern. It is good not to get too excited about their good start because being consistent is really matters for team that wants to win championship. You are completely right that winning title is long shot for them right now because they need to learn how to keep winning even when they are not playing their best. Developing that strong winning attitude and deep team takes time. It will be interesting to see if they can change their old habits this season.
They have to understand that the work is hard and they have to do a lot and that it won't be easy for them to manage this change, but with the coach they have now the team will play with a different system, they just have to get used to the fact that it won't be like before.
In the two matches we've played, we've seen the team's strength, although that can't be used as a benchmark. However, I think there's some hope for Roma to compete for the Serie A title this season. Their strength is already quite strong. It just depends on how they can maintain their consistency until the end of the season. That will be a difficult task indeed.
Gian Piero Gasperini is a very experienced coach, and I think the strength of the players in his Roma squad is worth considering this season.
