That assumes Arsenal will win whenever Liverpool loses. I think last season or the season before that shows that Arsenal struggle to close the gap when it matters. They need to win every game to make sure they can win the title. Being complacent and believing that your competitor will slip up because you did is not really good. That being said, I think this applies to every team, not necessarily Arsenal only.

These are assumptions we can't make and, as you pointed out, Arsenal have this bad habit of not capitalising on the good fortune that comes their way.
I think the team needs a makeover. Are there any big signings on the horizon? Or will it stay pretty much the same as last season?
Arsenal is actually a team that has enough strength to consistently compete fiercely for the title. Unfortunately, they always fail at unexpected times. Sometimes they lose or drop points not only to strong teams, but also to draws against less-than-stellar teams.

This is the problem Arsenal consistently faces. In every transfer window, Arsenal are always on the move, always trying to improve their squad by bringing in new and better players. But unfortunately, they always fail in the end. But we don't know what will happen this season. I think if Arteta fails in the Premier League and the Champions League, then at the very least, he should be able to deliver trophies in other domestic competitions. What's truly unfortunate is that Arsenal sometimes fail in almost everything. They're always the team that almost wins the title.
