There is no difference between derivative traders and gambler's, both are taking the same risk, as long as you have no availability of extra liqudities to mentain your position and have your liquidation price close, it make no sense to take that as trading, but gambling, since your portfolio stake have time expiration if the price goes against you.
This is basically an assumption and it doesn't make any sense when you tried to compare gambling and trading as same. Gambling does not requires a skill for you to get it right but in trading, you need skill that will enable you to know how to analyze the market; that's if you are not a desperate trader that do not care about learning but how to make quick profits from the market.
I have seen gamblers making good profits from betting without getting any official skill that had enabled them to understand betting as lot through experience and successfully make profits without any problem or additional skill.
