Their resources alone is not what is fueling them amd I agree to that, they have a resilient mind of wanting to win something for the team and make themselves proud. Except that they are in a weak league, I find it okay to mention PSG when making a Madrid comparison. Their plauer and team depth is just pretty fair expect that in their domestic league it is actually the best and that is why I do not like localising their form amd strength but somehow it restricted their abilities and now they have the champions league, they will feel a bit higher above their Ligue 1.
On restricting ability the PSG domestic league where they dominates do limits to a certain extent their form capacity because almost all the teams are just below PSG form and can't give them the competition that can level up to them and it's only when PSG plays at the european level with other team from other major European league that's when they sweat out because they've met their actual match.
