Why only as a temporary measure? I think it's obvious, if your transactions can potentially be blocked, then such devices/apps should not be used. Ever.
I didn't know I had to ''translate'' my obvious post.This is temporary measure for owners of ledger hardware wallet, since they probably can block transactions only via ledger live app.
It is, yet so many people seem to love the taste of it and don't care about its toxicity in the least.
Last few years proved that people love self-destruction, and I am not surprised they are still using ledger, maybe because they have nice ads and commercials 
You mean they could block updates for Ledger devices or apps on them, right?
When anyone purchase ledger crap they can't use it until they connect in with ledger live app, and it's impossible to bypass this step with other apps.You also can't update device without ledger live, and nobody knows how exactly they are going to add more restrictions.
