I saw this
report saying my country’s government agency that regulates gambling gets most of their profit from online gambling. I was shocked to find out thst 59.9% of their revenue comes from online gambling.I know how much online gambling has grown over the years but to see this number was still shocking. Anyway, some thinks that the agency’s reliance on online gambling for profit makes them inefficient in actually regulating gambling activities in the country. People are asking for them to be more effective and not just consider the gambling operators’s profits because my country has poor healthcare and won’t be able to accommodate addict patients well. There really has to be some objectivity still but I also understand wanting to keep the revenue going especially if it helps in the economy.
How does the agency get this money from gambling please, sorry I've not clicked and read the article you shared, maybe I would have understood better but all the same, we are already discussing here so I see no much need going off the forum..
So, to better understand you, do you mean that the agency makes this money from regulating gambling activities in and around the casinos, or do you mean that the agency makes the money by they themselves gambling?
If the latter be the case here, then I honestly do not find it ideal, it makes no sense to for an agency appointed to regulate gambling activities In country to be gambling themselves, it simply means that they aren't going to be efficient and effective in carrying out their official duties and that could spell doom for the gambling community in that country..
My personal thought though.
