This could turn into a big story…

Kawhi Leonard reportedly signed a $28M endorsement with a fraudulent tree-planting company, funded by Clippers owner Steve Ballmer "to circumvent the salary cap rules.”

If this is true it could mean big fines for the Clippers, possible removal of ownership from Ballmer, and maybe even a significant suspension for Leonard. Now we know why he chose the Clippers over the Lakers…
In fact, based on what reporters have reported thus far, "Kawhi Leonard" signed a $28 million endorsement deal with Aspirations Inc., which is allegedly intended to get around NBA salary cap regulations. According to this Chippers owner Steve Ballmer, the deal is not a bankrupt tree planting scheme.

Investigation The NBA is investigating the report, and if evidence supports it, the Clippers could face severe penalties, including fines, forfeited draft picks, and voided contracts.

The Clippers have denied any wrong
It's worth noting that the NBA has already announced that it will open an investigation. By the way, the Clippers are already hastily denying that they have broken any cap rules. So, let's hope that Leonard doesn't end up being made the scapegoat in this situation, which could potentially ruin his NBA career.
Hoping it will turn out positive for both of them because it will really make a huge mark especially for Kawhi who we've known that doesn't talk much or just having positive vibes all the time. Clips may keep on denying it but let's see what the investigation may lead to this. Yeah hoping Kawhi or his management would have a take on this. Kawhi may probably leave Clippers because of this.
Its uncertain how this situation will unfold, but both Kawhi Leonard and the LA Clippers are likely to face same scrutiny and potential penalties if the allegations are proven against them. I think Leonard allegedly didn't have to perform any work for Aspirations inc. Despite signing a $28 million endorsement deal.
