Cremonese have won both of their opening matches and are currently sitting in 3rd place in Serie A. I don't think anyone expected that. It might just be a short winning streak for now, but who knows how long it could continue?
They played excellently against Sassuolo, creating plenty of chances ? it was really enjoyable to watch. Their next two fixtures look promising: Verona away, with Verona struggling at the start of the season, and then Parma at home. Parma also haven't had a strong start, although to be fair, they faced tough opponents in Juventus and Atalanta.
Maybe after four games, we?ll see Cremonese at the top of Serie A.
Cremonese is doing very well at the start of this season. I'm always happy when a small team like this manages to win against stronger clubs. I'm happy that we made targeted purchases and with the always excellent performance of Baschirotto, who is a player I adore.
I’m happy to see Vardy in Serie A! Not sure if he’ll be playing full matches or coming on as a 60th-minute sub — we’ll see what Davide Nicola has planned for him.
Cremonese already have a few solid options in that position, like Antonio Sanabria and David Okereke, who really stands out. So maybe Vardy is more of a marketing signing for the club.
Who knows — maybe we’ll still see him destroying some corner flags!
