Hey all, I have some bunch of questions with regards to slots. I have been thinking about it, so let's answer the much we can and have a good discussion on them. Here they are :
- Do online casinos upgrade existing slot games with new characters, graphics, and features? or is it more common for them to discard older games and launch entirely new titles?
- Do upgrades to familiar games affect player loyalty compared to introducing a brand-new game?
- Also, are upgrades restricted by the original game’s software architecture or licensing agreements with developers?
- Think about this for a minute, which is more cost-effective. Is it enhancing existing games or developing new ones from scratch?
I think most casinos will have to upgrade some of their games, specially as time moves on. I remember those old games in a brick and mortar games, now there's nowhere to be found and so I think they have been replaced by new ones already.
The responsibility is on the game providers and not the casinos. They are the one that will have to talk to the the gambling authority about what upgrades that they will have to or what new games they are going to released next. So it doesn't matter if it is going to be just a enhancement or new ones.
I don’t think this is the most important question. I believe both options are used, updating old games and creating new ones. It all depends on the budget the casino is willing to spend on reconstruction. If the games always stay the same, it could lead to boredom, and players might play less frequently or stop using the casino altogether. However, drastic changes are not always good either, especially if they are not intuitive. Not everyone likes change, and if it’s too radical, it might also push players away. Those who work on promoting and optimizing the casino know better than anyone how to attract their customers and offer them a good alternative.
