Massimiliano Allegri is a wonderful coach and the reason for his slow start is because he focus more on building a strong midfield to give the team a domineering with his favorite 3-5-2 formation before anything. This may seem to delay their attacking and also makes the defense vulnerable but the reality is that he prefer massive defense and massive attacking. If he is giving the necessary supports he needs, I'm sure he will be able to rebuild AC Milan and restore their lost glories.
There's no doubt that Allegri is a great coach. In 2010-2011, he also led AC Milan to victory, winning both the Serie A title and the Italian Super Cup in the same season. So anyone who doubts this coach is probably forgetting that history.
And there's an even more extraordinary achievement Allegri achieved in Serie A, when he was still the coach of Juventus. He led Juventus to five consecutive championships:
- 2014-15
- 2015-16
- 2016-17
- 2017-18
- 2018-19
In those five seasons, he led Juventus to consecutive championships, not just in Serie A but also in the Coppa Italia and the Italian Super Cup. So, if we're talking about coaches who know Italian football best, Allegri is undoubtedly one of them. He has also been
awarded the best coach in Serie A several times, in 2011, 2015, 2016, and 2018. He has many more accomplishments that I can't list here.
