Leverkusen didn't take long to assess the coach's performance, they immediately fired Ten Hag after failing to lead Leverkusen to victory in their first two matches. In contrast, Manchester United gave Ten Hag the opportunity to restore the team's form, despite the significant expenditure of resources. In my opinion, Leverkusen was late in realizing Ten Hag's abilities. They should have been more discerning in choosing a coach before the season started. Now they must again look for the right figure to boost the team's performance, which has been limping after the departure of several key players.
Raul Gonzalez name has begun to emerge as the new Leverkusen coach, beating out other candidates Edin Terzic and Marco Rose. Hopefully he can repay the management trust after the team was left in limbo after losing several key players and failing to gel under Ten Hag.
