Snip.
Erik Ten Hag had a bad time in Manchester United but was successful in Ajax, where he led the club to win three Eredivisie titles and reached the Champions League semi-finals. There are reports that his performance alone in Bayer Leverkusen was not the reason why he was sacked.  He fell out with the club management regarding player signings and the future direction of the club.

The club management shouldn't have expected immediate position results after they sold Florian Wirtz, Piero Hincapie,  Jeremie Frimpong, and Granit Xhaka, and Jonathan Tah without worthy replacements. He should have been given some time to build the club. Some successful coaches were given more than one season to get it right in their clubs.
The difference in management's approach to decision making between Leverkusen and Manchester United is clear here. Leverkusen didn't take long to assess the coach's performance, they immediately fired Ten Hag after failing to lead Leverkusen to victory in their first two matches. In contrast, Manchester United gave Ten Hag the opportunity to restore the team's form, despite the significant expenditure of resources. In my opinion, Leverkusen was late in realizing Ten Hag's abilities. They should have been more discerning in choosing a coach before the season started. Now they must again look for the right figure to boost the team's performance, which has been limping after the departure of several key players.

Raul Gonzalez name has begun to emerge as the new Leverkusen coach, beating out other candidates Edin Terzic and Marco Rose. Hopefully he can repay the management trust after the team was left in limbo after losing several key players and failing to gel under Ten Hag.
