I was seeing Manchester City as one of the favorite teams to win this season champions league trophy but after I watched Manchester City's performance against Brighton in the Premier League, I don't think Manchester City is ready to compete for the champions League trophy this season unless they are able to improve their performance before the champions league starts and prove me wrong.
Manchester City will still go out to win the champions League this season it doesn't matter how well they do in the EPL this season but the Champions League competition is a different game and they may go all out to improve their performance and if that is done Manchester City will be ready to face other good teams if they are lucky they can get to the finals. City has gained only 3 points in 3 matches in the English Premier League this new season they have a lot of things to improve on if they what to make it to the finals they season.
Manchester City have not changed their players and the previous manager is still in charge of the club, so Manchester City's performance this season may not change much compared to last season.
Last season, Manchester City did not meet the expectations we had in the Champions League, but they were eliminated from the Champions League tournament long before we met our expectations. Not only did they perform poorly in the Champions League tournament, but they also performed quite poorly in the Premier League. If Manchester City had not performed well in the last few matches, we might not have seen Manchester City play in the Champions League this season.
However, Manchester City is definitely a big team among European clubs, so it is very important for them to return to good performance.
