Just like you said, it was fore fathers right?, which means it was all in the past before the internet. It did happen, but you didn't hear about them. It was not common like pandemic or something, so there was no way it even made the headlines that much. Nothing has changed much as far as Genotype is concerned. The risk between AS-AS is still happening. Though, I'm not completely sure of how they managed those issues at that time, but I feel it all happened.

Even in our today world, people don't take it seriously until when they are about to get married. Not sure why they have to date for long, only to end up not getting married as a result of their negligence for not doing the needful at the beginning.
