I am very sure Messi would make the list of the first 11 in their national team for the world cup. One thing that people still don't understand is that as long as CR7 is still active on the pitch, Messi wouldn't want to retire moreover, he's even younger than Ronaldo so why would he want to retire before him. I never expected Ronaldo to make it to their world cup list but guess what, he became the first to be selected unofficially. As a legend, your record speaks and no matter how old you become, coaches would want you in their team to serve as motivation to help younger players.
