If you are "buying" certain coins then you are not trading, you are investing and for long term investment only use bitcoin and forget everything else.For trading, things are different. You need to learn how the altcoin market works. That is not something that can be explained in a short comment, but lets just say altcoin market is generally a pump-and-dump market where you have to learn how to ride the pump waves and learn how to get out before they dump on you if you want to make profit.
