Inter Milan still don't reach to limit of this player generation and they still have some possible good seasons with those players but their weakness is at their head coach position with Chivu. An experienced coach can use their current players well and even can lead them to Scudetto or Champions League title but with Chivu, I don't believe that he will be able to do this.
Remember who coached Inter Milan before Chivu and how they performed, which was also less than ideal in the title race. Isn't Simone Inzaghi far more experienced and one of the most successful coaches in Italy? I think it's not just about the quality of the coach, but also the need for younger players combined with experience to greatly increase Inter Milan's chances of competing for the title. Chivu is certainly not an experienced coach, and I doubt Inter Milan can achieve success with him, especially in the Champions League.
Let Chuvi win Scudetto first before we can talk about winning Champions League. I am not expecting Inter to go beyond the round of 16 if they're lucky, because Chivu does not have the experience to play in the Champions League. If I am considering the favorite clubs to win UCL this season, I hardly think of Inter because of the new coach that they hired. He has to prove it.
