Honestly how quickly I forget about a loss depends on how invested I was in the outcome, which is probably the case for the majority of people. There's some losses in life I'll think about every now and then in a "life would have been quite different" way but they never dominate my thoughts so I think I'm doing quite alright.
Absolutely right, and it shows that you have the right attitude towards gambling. For example, if a gambler with an addiction needs to urgently pay off a debt, he will be maximally focused on the bet, and the outcome will be one hundred percent for him.
And his reaction to the outcome will be extremely violent. But if a gambler just wants to have fun, he will take the loss lightly and say "I didn't expect anything from this bet" and calmly continue to do his further business.
