So just recently I got bored and spent most of my time spinning slots. Honestly, I already expected that money to be gone because we all know slots are bankroll killers. But this time I got lucky, my disposable bankroll shot up to almost 100x. Ended the day full of excitement, used some of the winnings to hang out with friends, had a few drinks, and of course I left a bit aside for the next session (once the hangover fades).

Isn't that the expectation when we even start the game ? Yes, most probably we will lose the money and that should be our worst case scenario.
On the other hand, if we win, we need to have a plan on when to stop so that we can take the winnings while we can.
As you said, managing our expectations and planning our moves accordingly will be the right path towards gambling responsibly.
