Based on some podcasts that I've listened to, it seems like some pundits believe in the narrative that Flick's second season is usually not good for various reasons. One of the pundits claimed that Barcelona's high-line/offside trap is a good thing if other clubs can't figure it out, but once they solve that issue, Barca can concede a lot of attacks. It doesn't help that some players got injury, or the pitch condition isn't good, and so on. Let's see if Barca can improve and find their best gameplan asap.
That is EXACTLY what is going on right now. They are doing high defense /offside trap and for a whole season every team faced that, and they didn't know what to do and wasn't ready for it, but all summer long they got ready for it. This means that no team will be unprepared for Barcelona attack, and we are going to see them do a lot better. If the team doesn't change anything and Barcelona doesn't really change anything, then the yare not going to end up with any good returns at all.
We should be considering some tactical change, like have some more different defensive approach. Their offense is good enough, but that doesn't mean defense is good, they need to fix their defense and get some better tactics going there instead of offside trap.
