England made a good come back in second ODI after losing the first ODI in awful manner. When South Africa finished their innings at 330 runs in 50 overs, it looks like England will lose second ODI also. But English team surprised everyone by making 325 runs. Root and Butler both scored 61 runs for their side. England needed 16 runs in last over by that time 9 wickets have gone down and they don't have any recognised batsmen on the crease. Matthew Breetzke was man of the match for his brilliant 85 runs.
I think most people who know about the first match or have some idea about it thought that England was going to lose by a bigger margin in this match, but to be honest, they actually recovered a lot in this match, but in the end they lost by just five runs.
Which sheds some light on their weak cricket lineup. Although the South African team has already won this series with one match in hand, I still think that the England team has the possibility of recovering in the third match because of two reasons. The first reason is that the South African team is currently pressure-free, so they may not give much effort in the next match and the second reason is that the England team was able to recover in the second match.
