New to the platform and as a beginner in crypto I have been wondering over the past few weeks whether or not Pi will become a very valuable and reliable crypto currency or the other way round.
Pi appears overhyped at the moment in my opinion based on research. Its value today is more about hope and community size than real-world application.
I’ve heard they have solid plans coming, but can you still trust them after more than seven years? They are still in the building stage; other top coins have built their ecosystem in just a few years, and their delayed use case makes them a speculative and hyped investment.
It's a long shot for them to become a future giant due to the nature of their project. It's a pure centralized project, and they require a comprehensive KYC before you can receive the token you've mined over many years. I'm not sure how their members maintain their trust, but I can easily dump this token.
