Haaland for example was expected to do way better than what he is doing right now.
Honestly, I think it's weird to expect a single player to carry a team every single game. If a GK makes big mistakes, should a striker get blamed for that too? It feels unproductive anda waste of time to debate whether this or that player will be the best if he played in the EPL or something (especially if we ignore the team they play). Surely people don't expect Halland to carry Burnley when they play with a back 8 or something.
No, but also a striker should score sometimes. Haaland doesn't have the stats we are used to him having, he used to score like candy, now we look at him and we od not see the same amount of scoring from him, and that is why people think he could be one of the problems as well.
Yes they are not great defensively neither, or offensively, in general City is not doing great, that part is obvious. But just because they are not doing great, doesn't mean that Haaland gets a pass from not scoring, that's just not the case and won't be good for them. They need him to score, bunch of goals, in every game. He was known to score bunch of goals to weak opponents, and maybe not so much at big games, now he doesn't score even against smaller teams.
